Opportunity
- 4 artists will be selected to join the Summer Mural Fest, and will live paint 1 - 4'X8' mural each AND 1 artist to paint the Tollbooth Gallery.
- Selected participants will be compensated $1,000 for one 4-foot by 8-foot sheet of provided plywood that will be painted live during the Downtown Tacoma Block Party on August 2nd, 2026 from 1-7pm.
- Because this is happening during the Downtown Tacoma Block Party and there will be many folks packed in along Broadway, we request that aerosol is not used. (you could set up early and lay down a base using aerosol before people start arriving)
- Each artist will be allowed to set up one 10X10 tent (with weights) for sales and/or promotion.
Selection Panel
Applications are reviewed and voted on by a panel of 5 individuals comprised of two artists, two Downtown Tacoma Partnership staff, and one member of the Spaceworks Steering Committee.
Applicants will be notified on Monday, July 20th, 2026
